Crazy Christmas '08

So yeah. These took some time to get posted but booyah they're up!

Our Christmas Season started in Edmonton, travelled (by plane) to Vancouver, and came back to Edmonton. Four weeks, back to back. All the inventory-making paid off though! The gift sets, neck cozies, knit hoods and ornaments were all favorites. And we found that many of the purchases were not for giving away - but for keeping :) that's A OK with us!

Twee Highlights - Fall '08

Oh beautiful Montreal. I flew over to Montreal to visit my friends (and of course to set up shop for a couple days). The venue ended up being only a few blocks away from their apartment so I was able to just wheel my suitcase back and forth. Tons of traffic! At times no one could get through the aisles. Nutty. I made some new friends and had some success so I would say YES! what a perfect trip! And check out that venue! Beautiful. With Olympico right across the street. How convenient.

A great local show! And what a great turn out for a first time event. The Bonnie Doon Community Centre held lots of other talented craft makers. I got to bust out our new coasters - complete with felt dots on the bottom. Another new item were the amazing knit hoods. I need to post a photo. Too cute! There were sets of 3 christmas ornaments out as well - but I guess no one was thinking that far ahead yet... just wait everyone. It's coming.

Our 10 12hr day Marathon

So we survived! Ten days of Vinyl Burns, Kettle Corn, OPA!, Passion Tea Lemonades and the B Arthurs! Thank goodness I had great company and a Starbucks a block away!

The Nest Collective Ladies and I had a lovely time meeting lots of Fringe-ers (and their babies). It was a successful festival for both of us - getting our name and goodies into the hands of some very enjoyable people. Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a visit!

Check out some of the work brought to you by Nest Collective! Lindsay and her perfectly cozie crochet hats, and Alanna and her sewing skillz - pillows, booties + purses! Everyone asked us where our store was... we figured if we did have a store together, it would be the cutest damn place we'd ever seen (I guess we're a wee biased). Either way... it got us thinking...

A few must-post pics... Firstly - our amazing view for 140 hours. Then some shots of the adorable Avia Lilly coming for a visit (YES! She wears Twee!) And then there's me, with no other life around on the day it dropped to 9 degrees. Chilly. Thanks to Jeff for bringing us the much needed space heater. Heart.

Twee in San Fran!

Well we've done it again. Travelled the globe and met lots of new friends! This time we found ourselves in San Francisco...and frankly there should be a t-shirt that says "I heart SF" because we have fallen in love with this lovely place. We stayed with our amazing friends in Marin County, just across the bridge. It led us to wonderful ferry adventures going right by Alcatraz, and even driving over the Golden Gate Bridge!

The Twee girls found themselves indulging in many treats-but it was all ok because we walked absolutely everywhere!!

The show was absolutely amazing. Not only was it a breeze because it was indoors, but we managed to get some balloons blown up (a first for twee-and our new favorite thing!) but we met so many new friends (and kids who loved our balloons) The pavilion was right in the bay, between the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf. There was an incredible view of Alcatraz as well - the location couldn't have been more picturesque.

It was all in all a great adventure for the Twee Girls. We would do it again in a heartbeat! We are getting ready for the fringe, and for lots of shows to come!

Renegade Finale

After a fantastic weekend talking to countless people and hearing some very wonderful compliments, we packed up our things into our red suitcases and trekked back to Manhattan.
Thank you to everyone who visited us, we enjoyed chatting with each and everyone of you!
Here we come San Francisco!

The Great Renegade Flood

After an incredibly hot day, the rain suddenly and maniacally decided to arrive. It was the most amazing flash flood - terrifying close lightening and thunder, tents collapsing and distant screams!

Twee lucked out keeping things dry - minus our soaking wet table cloths and our soaking wet selves! It was also quite the adventure getting home on the subway all wet carrying all our wet things. Again thank goodness for our lovely assitant Jeff!

Renegade Arrival

We made it!

With help from our lovely assistant Jeff, we managed to haul our bags through the New York Subways - only one small mishap of jumping off then immediately back on at the wrong stop. It was incredibly hot, the HUMID kind of hot - we survived only with Jeff's help dragging tables (twice) across the pool and his constant delivery of water bottles.

My Look appearance

What a lovely surprise when we opened See Magazine and saw Twee in the My Look section! We owe a big THANK YOU to our dear friend Krystin for the cameo--you're the sweetest thing ever.

dearest thea...

...we did make a deal. I'm holding up my end of it....we still love you!

Approaching Fast! Ten days!

Highlands Street Festival: May 31

On Saturday we participated in Edmonton's quaintest Street Festival. We had a bit of trouble getting there. Our table was too big for the pathfinder, and we almost lost a tire, but once we were all set up, it was a perfect day. Cupcakes, perogies, Miss Dishy, Baby Wisps, Bacon, Babies, Shopping. Just Lovely!

Oh and take note... we have new rings!

Twee Fancy!

We're working on a brand new line of jewelry! It's more sophisticated, elegant, and fancy, but still has the same quirk as the rest of our collection. We're using a variety of chain with small twee pieces, and pretty embellishments to complement.
Tell us what you think!

The Housewarming: May 30

It was inevitable that our friends wanted to come check out Kelsey's new place, and the new workshop (photos coming soon).

We made some punch, and some small snacks. It was lovely! It's always nice to hear such positive things about Twee things from all our friends, and to get some ideas for some new projects! Thanks to everyone that came (and took advantage of the "friend discount").
